Announcements

Throughout each year there are a range of ‘Honours Announcements’ made public. These include the Australia Day Honours on Australia Day, January 26, Queen’s Birthday Honours in June, Honorary Awards - Order of Australia and Australian Bravery Decorations announcements.

The details and recipients of these awards are listed below as they are announced. A Calendar of Award events is also available as is more information regarding announcing and presenting awards.

Australia Day 2010 Honours List

The Australia Day 2010 Honours List will be announced by the Governor-General on Tuesday 26 January 2010. The list provides national and formal recognition for many Australians across the nation who have made a significant difference to their communities. To check for recipients you will be able to access the Honours List on Tuesday 26 January 2010 by selecting any one of the following options:

  • View the Australia Day 2010 Honours List at www.itsanhonour.gov.au Award details for recipients are listed alphabetically and you will be able to search the list of recipients by name, postcode, town or city through the Search Australian Honours section of this site.
  • The official gazetted version of the Australia Day 2010 Honours List will be available on The Attorney-General’s website . Please Note: This version provides the full address details of recipients where their address details have been released for publication.
  • A list of the Australia Day 2010 Honours recipients, searching by award type, will be available at the Governor-General’s website www.gg.gov.au/
