Announcements
Throughout each year there are a range of ‘Honours Announcements’ made public. These include the Australia Day Honours on Australia Day, January 26, Queen’s Birthday Honours in June, Honorary Awards - Order of Australia and Australian Bravery Decorations announcements.

Midwinter's Day 2008 Honours List
The Governor-General is pleased to announce the following award: Australian Antarctic Medal to Mr Matthew Wayne Filipowski of Tasmania for outstanding service in support of Australian Antarctic expeditions.
